Responsibilities

  • Plan and construct work orders for intermediate & substantial maintenance, such as heavy maintenance checks, Special Visits and Drop In Visits.

  • Construct the applicable work orders effectively to ensure all tasks are planned during the most appropriate maintenance visit.

  • Package planned work orders and deliver on time to the maintenance facility (internal & external) time via approved methods and systems available to Aircraft Maintenance Planning.

  • Monitor emerging maintenance requirements during the maintenance visit ground time and correctly incorporate or remove applicable tasks prior to aircraft departure.

  • Review and evaluate open discrepancies and Deferred Maintenance Items and incorporate correctly in intermediate and heavy maintenance, Special Visits and Drop In aircraft work orders at the most appropriate opportunity.

  • Review open Line and HNGR RON work orders and correctly incorporate into intermediate and heavy maintenance work orders. Integration of Line and HNGR RON work orders must take into account harmonization of required maintenance to ensure minimal impact of maintenance routing on flight operations.

  • Represent Aircraft Maintenance Planning in heavy maintenance Pre and Post dock meetings to ensure all inquiries from ProductionControl are answered and addressed correctly.

  • Coordinate with Fleet Controllers, Planning Operations, Engineering, Production, Outsource Maintenance and Production Control groups when building the applicable maintenance work orders to ensure correct and timely planning of required maintenance.

  • Plan correctly and before the due date Line and HNGR overnight (RON) maintenance tasks as directed by employees leader.

  • Manage short term and / or long term modification projects as directed by the employee's leader.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION:

  • Required - High School degree or equivalent.

  • Preferred - A.S. or B.S. Degree in Aviation Technology / Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Required -

  • 5 years airline M&E or MRO technical experience in the areas of Aircraft Maintenance Planning / Scheduling, Production Control, Maintenance Production (AMT), Engineering, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Reliability Engineering, Material Planning, Maintenance Programs, Maintenance Programs Technical Writing, or Aircraft Records.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION:

  • A&P preferred. Note: A&P license may be equated to 1 year experience in the area of Maintenance Planning & Scheduling.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

  • Must be capable of reviewing and understanding aircraft technical documents and publications, such as, but not limited to Engineering Orders, Maintenance Programs task cards and aircraft manuals.

  • Must have general knowledge of aircraft systems and communicate effectively with other departments regarding these systems.

  • Must be capable of scheduling maintenance requirements using computerized aircraft maintenance forecasting systems.

  • Must be capable of working with and effectively utilize company provided electronic mail, word processing and spread sheet software.

  • Must be able to work with others in a team environment.

  • Must be able to manage time effectively during fast changing environment.

  • Must possess organizations skills to handle multiple priorities.

  • Must be capable to effective oral and written communications

Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and holidays if required.

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
