CVS Health Advisor, IT Systems in Richardson, Texas
Responsible for developing, unit testing, and supporting software projects throughout all phases of the software development life cycle. Work closely with the team, product management, and QA to design and develop software applications. Develop and perform unit testing of software. Prototype solutions as needed. Document work to allow for easy hand-off to other teams. Build scalable and fault-tolerant solutions. Mentor junior software engineers and lead code and design reviews. Work closely with architects to create and implement new system designs as well as make improvements to existing systems. Be the technical owner for one or more major system components and/or processes. Be able to represent our business to both internal and external stakeholders. Develop solutions to real world problems and provide effort and cost estimates.
A Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, IS, IT, or a closely related technical field and three years of experience in application development in a large, complex transaction processing environment. The three years of experience must include three years of experience with: relational databases; reading and writing complex SQL queries; working with patterns such as MVC or application façade; modern web based technologies such as JSF, Spring MVC, or Struts; Java; J2EE technologies; and Java EE application servers. Will accept a Bachelor's degree and six years of experience in lieu of a Master's degree and three years of experience. 5% domestic travel required. Must apply by 05/17/18.
