The successful candidate will work in an Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) group as part of a Next Gen Platform team. This team works with the latest Data and Analytics technologies and building next generation data services platform using Microservices, Containers and Cloud native services and others. The team is responsible to build and manage the platform for business units and customers, solution architecture, building tools, components and services.This platform also supports self service capabilities to users both technical and business i.e. developers, analysts and data science. Platform, data and services must be of high quality and reliability in batch and near real time modes. The platform infrastructure is a hybrid model on premise and Multi Cloud.
The ideal candidate must enjoy being in a lead role but be able to maintain their own individual work. Strong individual contributor and team player! You need to have a strong background in AWS.
Design and develop Big Data solutions and services based on business and solution requirements as well as legal, security/privacy and firm policy constraints
Lead system performance benchmarking and establish standards and best practices to support high-performing computing environments.
Recommends development team tools, processes, and deliverables. Recommends/Implements process improvement.
Provides ongoing direction/design of application suite/architecture, and data architecture.
Work cross-functionally to understand the linkage between business goals, business architectures, and technology architectures
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience; Engineering or Math background preferred
10+ years of progressive data engineering experience with high performance Data platforms on large scale development efforts leveraging Cloud provider such as AWS
5+ years of Data architecture, Data Science, Data Integration, and Big Data technologies
Hands on experience on data services PaaS for Data & Analytics uses cases
Hands on experience on AWS cloud services (EMR, S3, Redshift, RDS, LAMBDA etc.)
Experience with Dev Ops and CI/CD framework
Strong teamwork skills, ability to learn quickly, excellent written and verbal communication.
Strong programming skill i.e., Python, Java, Scala etc.
Experience working on Distributed data processing framework i.e. Spark, Mapreduce
Experience working on realtime data processing technologies i.e. Kafka, Spark streaming
Learning new & emerging technologies and provide as platform services to solve the business problem
Experience with building data services platform utilizing Container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift etc.
Experience with Microservices platform such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, OpenShift etc.
Familiarity with Serverless architecture i.e. LAMBDA etc.
Familiarity with app monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Grafana, NewRelic etc.
Hands on experience using enterprise API management solution i.e. Apigee, MuleSoft
Hands on experience on Infra as code technologies i.e. CloudFormation, Terraform etc.
